The Farewell to Our Directors Elder and Sister Beckstrand

Farewell to Beckstrands part one. A wonderful breakfast was hosted by our Mission President, President Jenkins and his wife. Sister Andrus and I brought the fruit. The oranges are from our trees at the condo.

The Elders in leadership were invited too, lucky!

This looks like a serious discussion?

Elder and Sister Beckstrand, bitter/sweet, as they prepare for their next adventure.

The sisters sang to the Beckstrands.

Part two of the Beckstrand farewell. The Sisters did skits which were hilarious. The Beckstrands felt like they were being roasted. Pictures really can't capture the skits but here are a few for us to remember.

Such great sports! Still smiling!

The pencil sharpening routine, so funny!

The birthday Sisters Tingey, Weedman and Brown.

Sister Beckstrand made this quilt of all our signatures on it. We signed our names for her pattern and she stitched them. It will be a special memory for her.

Elder Beckstrand sang his chicken song. They wanted to make us laugh instead of cry. We did laugh and we did cry! He wanted to prove he was a hayseed like he always said he was.

The football was signed by all as he was the coach!

An apron with signatures seemed appropriate.

It is hard to imagine the Visitors' Center without these two wonderful people whom we have grown to love.
Their service was above and beyond. What an example they have been to all of us!

We ask ourselves, who will fix everything, sharpen pencils, sew, cook, organize, plan, lead, train, play the piano & organ organize choirs, sing, teach, share their life experiences with us, ETC ETC ETC ETC???
